How to be an enterprise player
Play with the best. NetApp and Oracle powered advanced enterprises and service providers like T-systems, BT, Thomson Reuters, Qualcomm and Oracle themselves. Working with Oracle changed customer perception of NetApp and made us an enterprise vendor in the 2000s. It had perks too!
Learn from the best.
I’m fortunate to work with the best coaches. Dan Warmenhoven led NetApp from 50 person startup to Fortune’s #1 Best Place to Work and unicorn valuation. He’s the master of scale. Mark Allen won Ironman five times. He’s the Michael Jordon of triathlon.
Worst to First.
In 2001, Microsoft had NetApp on its top competitors list. In 2012, we were awarded Cloud Solution Partner of the Year. Long term commitment to the Windows storage market and the Microsoft alliance paid off. NetApp’s Windows business went from negligible in 2001 to over 50% of total revenue by 2012.
Racer’s Mindset
As a lifelong competitive endurance athlete, I bring the same mindset of clear goal setting, disciplined preparation, and excellent execution on the day it matters most to every project.
